Save the Date: The ECOCIT network will host the Well Connected Cities Symposium on 9 March 2010. the symposium will include speakers from IBM, Ferrovial, RATP-Paris, Arup, Westminster City Council, Living Labs Global and a host of smaller service providers participating in a solutions fair. Aimed at city authorities and related development agencies, practitioners, and academics, the event is also open to anyone with an interest in the future of communications technology for sustainable cities.

April 2009: The Sino-UK Research Institute for Sustainability coordination office has now been established at the University of Tongji in Shanghai. The Institute will provide a platform to promote communication and facilitate collaborative research between the two countries.
